How to do the advanced posture correction exercise
This posture correction exercise shows the walking lunge when there is a need to progress from the intermediate level of the lunge walk. This exercise is excellent for stretching the deep hip flexor muscles while strengthening and tightening the glutes.
To perform this posture correction exercise, start from the standing position with your hands in front of you. Take a lunging step to the front as far ahead as possible making sure to still be able to keep your head and shoulders straight up. Step back up into the standing position and then alternate with the other leg, breathing in through the nose on the way down and exhaling fully through the mouth on the way up. During this posture correction exercise it’s important to keep the body upright during the entire movement, no leaning forward.
To progress from this movement for more challenge to the core and stability muscles, perform this posture correction exercise with the hands behind the head.
